X-Zelit® stimulates the cow’s natural hormone system

The addition of X-Zelit® reduces the quantity of available calcium in the feed, thus stimulating the cow’s own hormone system to uptake calcium from its bones. This boosts the cow’s blood calcium content at the start of milk production just after calving and it strengthens the cow’s ability to utilise the body’s calcium resources.

Safeguards the health of the cow
The stable blood calcium content equips the cow better for future milk production and possible future calving. The addition of X-Zelit® can prevent hypocalcaemia (clinical milk fever and sub-clinical milk fever), but above all it safeguards the health of the cow by stimulating its natural systems to regulate the calcium content of the blood during calving.
X-Zelit® is available as granules to which wheat starch is added to improve taste and consistency. The product has been approved and ratified by the EU authorities.

An effective product without side effects
X-Zelit® is a unique product which safeguards the health and welfare of the newly calved cow. X-Zelit® contains pure crystalline zeolite, which binds excess calcium and phosphorus from feed in the stomach. In controlled trials X-Zelit® is 100% effective and under practical farming conditions X-Zelit® achieves an efficacy of 80-85%. No negative side effects have been associated with the use of X-Zelit®. 500 g of X-Zelit® is added in or onto the feed during the last two weeks of gestation.
